| The Writers Room is a 6,600 sq. ft. loft with 44 partially screened-in workstations available on a first-come, first-served basis. Members' working materials (papers, laptops, books, etc) can be stored in lockers for $60 per six month period. A smaller separate room is available for members who write on typewriters. Members also have the run of a collection of writers' reference and research books, a kitchen/lounge area and a phone room with free out-going service. Cell phones or eating at desks in the main sanctuary are not permitted. The Writers Room has wi fi and LexisNexis access so that members can research their material on the internet and send and receive business emails to editors and agents. There are also two hardwired stationary connections in the Room for members whose computers are not equipped for wi fi and a phone room with jacks for connecting modem lines. |
